early in the game by going 1-2-3 in
the first. (Jr. P) Mark Pompeani
relieved Passauer in the 5th
inning allowing one hit and
surrendering one run to get out of a
tough situation. Pompeani completed
the game allowing one more hit and
no runs.
Coach D's Recap: Our guys came in
focused and stayed focused for the
whole game. We had a great week of
preparation and executed our game
plan. We did an excellent job of
working their pitchers, and when we
needed a timely hit we got a big one
from Colish. Passauer and Pompeani
handled their batters very well. I
am very proud of these guys and what
they did. It's always great to be
playing high school baseball in
June.

Prep loses 4-1
Cathedral Prep lost
to McDowell 4-1 at Jerry Uht Park Monday
evening. Prep only managed one hit and
scored in the top of the 7th
inning by a fielder’s choice. Matt

Coach D’s Recap: We
didn’t do much to put ourselves in a
position to succeed. It took the last
inning for a base runner to reach third
base. I didn’t see our guys make too
many adjustments at the plate.
Prep wins two over
the weekend
The Cathedral Prep
baseball team belted out 29 hits over
the weekend to beat Strong Vincent 15-0
and East 16-3 on Saturday and Sunday.
The Ramblers got strong pitching

5 for 7, (Sr.SS) Shane Braendel 4 for 8,

Coach D’s Recap:
James and Conor did a really great job
throwing strikes and our defense played
very well. We were able to get guys on
base just about every inning this
weekend. When you do that, it puts us in
a very advantageous situation.
